1. Our Commitment to Responsible Tourism
At Barcelona Born & Bred, we are committed to promoting responsible and sustainable tourism. Our private food tours are designed to respect the character of Barcelona's neighborhoods and support the local economy by collaborating exclusively with small, independent businesses. We aim to provide authentic, immersive, and intimate experiences while minimizing the impact of mass tourism.
2. Booking & Payment Policy
All private food tours must be booked a minimum of 7 days in advance to ensure proper coordination with our local restaurant and vendor partners.
Full payment is required at the time of booking in order to confirm and reserve your tour.
Once payment is received and booking is confirmed, you will receive a detailed confirmation email including the meeting point, time, and any relevant preparation details.
All prices are listed in Euros (€) and are inclusive of food, drink, taxes, and guide fees unless stated otherwise.
3. Cancellation & Refund Policy
Due to the nature of our private tours and the advance commitments we make with our partner venues, we maintain a clear and firm cancellation policy:
Cancellations made 7 days or more before the scheduled start time of the tour will receive a 50% refund of the total amount paid.
Cancellations made less than 7 days before the tour start time, or failure to attend (no-show), will result in no refund being issued.
Tickets are non-transferable and cannot be rescheduled. We are unable to accommodate last-minute changes to dates or times.
4. Tour Duration & Group Structure
Private food tours typically last between 3 hours, depending on the route and group size.
Tours include visits to 3-4 local establishments, carefully selected for quality and authenticity.
We aim to accommodate private groups of up to 14 guests, though larger groups may be split into smaller parties to respect the size limitations of our partner venues.
We walk at a relaxed pace between stops, with planned seating available at most venues.
5. Dietary Requirements & Special Requests
Guests must inform us of any dietary requirements, allergies, or restrictions at the time of booking, and no later than 72 hours before the tour.
6. Participation, Health & Safety
Guests are responsible for their own health and physical well-being. Tours include walking and standing; appropriate footwear and weather-appropriate clothing are recommended.
Guests who are ill or displaying symptoms of contagious conditions should not attend. Please prioritize the safety of your fellow guests, guides, and local partners.
Guests arriving in an intoxicated state will be refused participation, and no refund will be issued.
Children under 2 years of age may attend at no charge but must be declared at the time of booking to ensure space.
7. Weather Conditions
Our tours proceed in rain or shine. In rare cases of extreme weather or circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to reschedule or cancel the tour. In such cases, guests will be offered a full refund or alternative date.
8. Liability Disclaimer
Participation in a private food tour is voluntary and at your own risk.
Barcelona Born & Bred, its guides, and affiliates are not responsible for any injury, illness, loss, damage, theft, or allergic reaction incurred during the tour.
All claims or disputes must be addressed directly with your personal travel insurance provider.
9. Personal Belongings & Conduct
Guests are responsible for their personal belongings at all times. Please do not leave valuables unattended.
Respectful behavior is expected toward fellow guests, guides, and local hosts. Disruptive or inappropriate behavior may result in removal from the tour without refund.
11. Use of Images
Photos or videos taken during the tour may be used for promotional purposes on our website and social media. If you prefer not to appear in such content, please notify your guide at the beginning of the tour.
By booking a tour with Barcelona Born & Bred, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by our Terms & Conditions.
